ANVIL FLOOR MIRROR
A34-7-M-ANVIL
$489.00
The Anvil Floor Mirror is crafted from reclaimed Indonesian paddy plow wood, bringing the material history of traditional rice farming into contemporary interiors. In Indonesia, wooden plows have historically been used to prepare flooded rice fields for planting. These tools were built for demanding conditions, shaping both the landscape and the materials chosen to endure it.
Traditional Indonesian paddy plows, known as luku or tenggala, are made from exceptionally durable local hardwoods selected to withstand constant exposure to water and heavy, muddy terrain. Teak is among the most prized of these materials, valued for its strength, longevity, and natural resistance, alongside other tropical hardwoods such as Bangkirai. Left unfinished, the reclaimed wood frame preserves its original texture, patina, and markings, ensuring each mirror is truly one of a kind.
Designed with an anti-tilting structure for stability, the Anvil Floor Mirror offers a tall, grounding presence that works beautifully in bedrooms, dressing areas, or open living spaces where material character and craftsmanship take center stage.
